Parent Ministries
Being a parent can be hard whether you are single, married or in a blended family. Each child has his or her own distinct God-given personality that sometimes can be a blessing or a challenge. The Christian Education Team knows that sometimes it’s helpful just to have another parent to lean on-and learn from- in those moments of triumph and hardship. We offer a variety of groups and studies that meet through out the year and we would enjoy having you join us! Child care is provided at all parent ministry events.
- Parent book studies: Sometimes it’s easier to study in a group, which is why Fairmont offers parent book studies through out the year. The group begins with parents selecting a book with small group curriculum like “Grace Based Parenting,” and groups often they chose to read a chapter a week with studies usually running about 8-10 weeks. Groups meet weekly at the church, watch a video related to the weekly readings and then discuss the material.
- “Parent of Teens and College Aged Youth”: Is a fellowship group for parents who are experiencing the joys and concerns of walking with teens and college students as they navigate the road to adulthood.
